HP charger not working and sparking. PLEASE HELP?

i have a HP Pavillion DV6_____ laptop. my charger all of the sudden stopped working (the LED light on the laptop didnt light up and it wouldnt charge. so i started fiddling with cables and i pulled the end on the box that leads to the laptop and you could hear it crackling and see some sparks. I'm DJ'ing a party tomorrow and this is my only laptop currently. is it safe to run like this? any way to fix. please help im desperate
