What gives my government the legal right of way to tax my income?

There is no legal basis in the Constitution for the IRS to exist and tax our income. For many years after the country was founded there was no such thing as income tax. Income taxes came about as the country grew and the scope of government responsibility increased. The reality is that the USA could not survive now with an income tax.
